ROB HEATH'S BIO

Edmonton-based singer/songwriter Rob Heath is first and foremost a storyteller. His latest CD Biggest Moments, released February 26, 2022, are the best 11 songs of the over 30+ songs that he cut and produced during the pandemic in his studio in downtown Edmonton. All but one song (“The Game” which is a co-write with Spencer Heath and the late Kathy Kirby and recorded by Stew Kirkwood at Sound Extractor) are produced, sung, played, recorded and edited by Rob himself and mixed by long time associate Cam Ambrose.

With the help of Marty Pawlina and his daughter Ellie, he also moved his Song Circle to Zoom during the COVID fiasco. Rob is very grateful to Marty and Ellie for all their hard work, which made that possible. He also had hit songwriters Steve Seskin and Harriet Schock who joined the Song Circle to teach and advise the attendees during the Zoom phase. Attendees songwriters from across Canada and the USA. The Song Circle is the first Monday every month.

The quality of Heath's songwriting has been widely recognized. Over the years accolades for his songs have been many: won first place in the Calgary Folk Music Festival "Songwriting Contest", won the New Folk competition at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival, and won a Canadian Radio Music Award for "Songwriter of the Year", nominated for Canadian Folk Music Award's "Songwriter of the Year". Over 200 radio stations on six continents have played his music.
